Athletics Family of Nepal

KATHMANDU: The first annual general assembly of Athletics Family of Nepal on Monday unanimously elected the 13-member executive committee headed by Rajan Khatri.

Deepak Kumar Ranjit was elected senior vice-president, while Aasharam Gothe, Ramesh Shakya and Anirudra Kumar Chaudhary were elected as vice-presidents. Sundar Keshar Karki was elected as secretary, while Sapana Acharya, Saraswoti Khadka, Abhinarayan Adhikari, Sansar Lal Vaidhya, Ram Krishna Maharjan, Devi Basnet and Prakash Rana were elected as members.

The first meeting of AFN nominated Manju Shrestha as general secretary, Raj Kumari Pandey as vice-president and Sushma Pandey as treasurer. Dawa Tamang, Ramesh Sunar, Siddhanta Adhikari, Yasir Maya Chaudhary and Sunita Kumari Yonjan Lama were nominated as members.

The meeting nominated Raghu Raj Onta, Khadga Bahadur Ranabhat, Dharmendra Raj Shakya and Shanti Gurung as advisors and gave continuity to Sushil Narshing Rana, Sunil Rajbanshi, Mohan Nepal, Sanjeev Tuladhar, Dhruba Bikram Malla and Rishi Bhandari.

Babu Krishna Maharjan is the legal advisor, while chief athletics coach Chandra Bahadur Gurung is technical head. Earlier, National Sports Council Member Nanda Basyal inaugurated the assembly.
