DHANGADI, OCTOBER 12
Five candidates have withdrawn their candidacies in Dadeldhura. One among them is CPN-UML candidate for the parliamentary election, Chakra Snehi.
According to UML Dadeldhura Secretary Gajendra Shahi, Snehi withdrew his candidacy in line with the directive from the central leadership.
However, it's worth noting that UML's rebel candidate Bikram Bahadur Shahi hasn't withdrawn his candidacy.
Sources with UML Dadeldhura, said Snehi withdrew his candidacy to support Nepali Congress (BP).
Snehi himself wasn't much forthcoming about the matter, saying only, 'I didn't want to back away myself but had to; I will now move ahead on my own without supporting anyone.'
An NC (BP) leader also informed about discussion with UML about the prospect of electoral alliance.
'There is a possibility that we support UML Provincial Assembly A candidate Pathansingh Bohara and UML helps our MP candidate Karna Bahadur Malla,' the leader said.
