Different colour for ballot papers

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 22

The Election Commission will use white background in the ballot papers for provincial and parliamentary elections scheduled for November 20.

According to the EC's e-bulletin, the ballot papers to be used for proportional representation election will contain white background on which other details will be printed in black, while the ballot papers to be used for thefirst-past-the-post election, will contain white background over which election symbols and other details will be printed in red ink.

The EC has completed transporting PR ballot papers to 60 districts. It will transport PR ballot papers to six districts before Tihar festival. The districts where the EC will dispatch PR ballot papers after Tihar are - Manang, Mustang, Achham, Bajura, Kalikot, Mugu, Humla, Jumla, and Dolpa.

As far as the FPTP ballot papers are concerned, the EC has printed 15,124,000 ballot papers, including 7,525,000 ballot papers for Provincial Assembly election.

Till today, the EC had printed FPTP parliamentary ballot papers for Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum West, Surkhet, Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Achham, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Rolpa, Pyuthan, Dang, Rukum East, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Bardiya, and Nawalparasi west.
