KATHMANDU, NOV 26
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba met CPN-Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and discussed their future course of action.
The prime minister's Press Adviser Govinda Pariyar told THT that PM Deuba and Dahal reached agreement that they should keep the current coalition intact.
Both leaders agreed to call a meeting of the ruling alliance after all parliamentary first-pastthe-post election results were out to discuss their future course of action.
Yesterday, Dahal had received a congratulatory phone call from both Deuba and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli. It was the first time in many months that Oli had called Dahal.
It is yet to be seen whether the CPN-MC, which used to be the kingmaker in government formation will be able to retain the status.
The CPN-MC fears that the rise of Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party could emaciate CPN- MC's bargaining power in politics.
