KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 16

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated the need for keeping the present ruling alliance intact for long so as to prosper the country and safeguard the constitution.

The coalition was forged to avert the risk of the constitution being trampled, he said while addressing an election gathering organised at Bhageshwor Rural Municipality in his home district, Dadeldhura on Wednesday.

"There were efforts to push back the country into political instability by dissolving the House of Representatives. So, we formed an alliance to end political instability," PM Deuba added.

He also urged voters to ensure victory to the alliance candidates for the development and prosperity of the country.

Maintaining that development activities had taken a pace in Dadeldhura, he pledged, "Now, the construction of the Bagarkot-Bokata-Garkha-Lamikande road will take place soon. The entire development of the district will happen."
