BAJURA, NOVEMBER 26
It has been six days since the All Nepal National Free Student Union member Chetan Ayadi was killed, but his kin have refused to receive his body demanding that the guilty be arrested.
Ayadi's family has filed an FIR against 22 persons accusing them of killing Ayadi. Of the 22 names mentioned in the FIR, two have been arrested and police have initiated investigation.
But the family has said they won't receive the body until the mastermind in the killing is arrested. The body has been kept at the district hospital.
Meanwhile, CPN-UML Bajura has also been agitating demanding action against the guilty involved in the death of its cadre for the past one week. Chetan was beaten to death at his home on November 20 over a vote-related dispute at Nateshwori Preliminary School of Tribeni-7. He had been dragged out of his home and beaten severely.
After the attack, Ayadi was rushed to Bayalpata Hospital of Achham, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
His body was brought to Bajura Hospital for post-mortem and has been there ever since.
The beating of ANNFSU central member Ayadi followed after NC cadre Sanjiv Ayadi of Tribeni-7 died in police firing in an attempt to seize the poll booth at the Nateshwori-based polling centre.
NC cadre Ayadi' body was cremated on Friday itself. Ever since the incident, Bajura is has been tense.
