Madhes Media Council chair found dead

SARLAHI, DECEMBER 3
Chairman of Madhes Media Council Shiva Hari Bhattarai, 67, was found dead in a resort of Pattharkot in Lalbandi Municipality, Sarlahi, today.
Bhattarai, who hails from Rajbiraj Municipality, Saptari, had reached Holiday Resort to attend the 11th General Assembly of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Sarlahi, last night. He had gone to bed after having meal.
SP Prabin Kharel of Saptari Police said Bhattarai was found dead in a room after he did not wake up till late morning today.
He said Bhattarai was found dead in bed. He had vomited before his death. Police said that Bhattarai was the patient with diabetes and high blood pressure.
SP Kharel said that Bhattarai went to bed after conversation with friends at 11:00pm last night.
He added that Bhattarai might have died due to chok-ing while taking medicines.
He was not alcoholic. Police said post-mortem would be carried out after Bhattarai's family members reached the Provincial Hospital today.
Bhattarai was the former chairman of FNJ, Saptari, and central committee vice-chair of FNJ.
He was involved in journalism for the last four decades. The general assembly was postponed following Bhattarai's death.
