SIC inaugurated

KATHMANDU: Samsung, one of the world's leading consumer electronics and smartphones brands, has inaugurated its global CSR programme Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) at the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering.

Under the programme, Samsung will train youth in Nepal on future tech skills such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data and coding and programming, contributing to the development of a strong technology and innovation ecosystem in Nepal, as per a media release.

SIC was inaugurated by Minister of Education, Science and Technology Devendra Paudel; Sung June Park, head, Nepal office, Samsung Southwest Asia; Park Chong-Suk, ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal; Shiva Lal Bhusal, rector, Tribhuvan University; and Shashidhar Ram Joshi, professor and dean, Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering at a ceremony held inside the Pulchowk Campus of the institute.
