KATHMANDU: Nepali youth volleyball team faced 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the semi-finals of the CAVA U-23 Men's Volleyball Championship in Dhaka on Sunday.

Nepal failed to trouble the home team for the second time in the tournament with Bangladesh winning it 26-15, 25-22, 25-13 and advanced to the final. Bangladesh will face Kyrgyzstan in the championship match on Monday.

Kyrgyzstan defeated Sri Lanka in another semi-final match on Sunday. Nepal and Sri Lanka will play for bronze medal before the final match.

While Bangladesh topped the table after league round, Nepal finished at the bottom with three losses.
