Nepal records five COVID-19 cases on Saturday

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 31
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal has reached 30, on Saturday as five persons tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The nationwide COVID-19 infection tally remains at 1,001,000 while the death toll remains at 12,019 as no fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 988,951 with five discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 169 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours while no antigen tests were conducted during the same time.
With this, a total of 5,989,582 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
