WALING: Nepal APF Football Club advanced to the semi-finals of the Waling Gold Cup here on Sunday.
APF defeated KBA Global BFC 2-1 in the second quarter-final match riding on goals from Manish Khadka and Sabin Gurung. Khadka put APF ahead in the 13th minute before Gurung doubled the tally in the 58th minute.
Roshan Chhetri netted the consolation goal for KBA Global in the injury time. APF skipper Santosh Shrestha was named the player of the match.
On Monday, Waling FC (Red) will play against Sahara Club Pokhara in the third quarter-final match.
Top two teams will receive Rs 500,000 and Rs 250,000 respectively.
