SYANGJA: Avenir FC advanced to the semi-finals of the Waling Gold Cup here on Tuesday.
The Cameroon-based Avenir defeated Tribhuvan Army Football Club 3-1 in the fourth and final quarter-final match.
Player-of-the-match Abdel, Timba and Aanise scored for Avenir, while Dinesh netted the consolation goal for TAFC. Avenir will now play against Waling FC (junior) for a place in the final.
On Wednesday, Waling FC (senior) will face Nepal APF Club in the first first semi-final match.
