SYANGJA: Waling Football Club (Red) advanced to the semi-finals of the Waling Gold Cup here on Monday.

The home team defeated Sahara Football Club of Pokhara 1-0 in the third quarter-final match. Tik Raj Gurung scored the solitary goal in the 56th minute and he was later adjudged the player of the match. Waling will now face Nepal APF Football Club for a place in the final. On Tuesday, Avenir FC will play against Tribhuvan Army Footbal Club in the fourth and last quarter-final match.
