Nepal enter semis

KATHMANDU: Nepal advanced to the semi-finals of the ACC Premier Cup here on Monday.

Nepal, who won their first two matches against Malaysia and Oman, are at the top in Group A with five points. Nepal shared points with Saudi Arabia on Monday after the match at Mulpani grounds was washed out.

Oman are second on four points, followed by Saudi Arabia (three). Malaysia have two points from three matches, while Qatar faced defeats in both matches.

In Group B, Hong Kong are at the top with five points from three matches and they are also through to the semis after sharing points with Bahrain due to rain.

UAE are second on four points, while Bahrain have three. Kuwait are fourth on two points, while Singapore have not been able to open their accounts.
