Eight, including two foreigners, arrested with drugs

In a series of operations, Nepal police arrested eight individuals, including two foreigners, from various locations in Kathmandu and other parts of the country this week for their involvement in drug-related activities.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police from the Police Circle, Lainchaur, carried out a raid on Wednesday at a hotel room of Family Peace House Hotelin Pakanjol of KMC-16, occupied by US citizen Daryl Jordan Rasey (30) and Belgium citizen Sara Irene Wastijn (45). The police discovered 1 kg of Charas and 10 ml of CBD liquid concealed inside metal statues of Buddha and Ganesh kept within room no 202. Both suspects were arrested for further investigation.
In a separate incident, the Narcotics Control Bureau, Koteshwor, raided room no. 306 of Hotel Trimurti Pvt Ltd in KMC-32 late on Tuesday night. The raid resulted in the seizure of 15 grams of brown sugar, 15 tablets of Nitrazepam, and a digital weighing machine, leading to the arrest of Neilson Udas (23) of Birtamod Municipality-4, Jhapa, for illegal drug possession.
Meanwhile, Sindhuli police arrested Indra Bahadur Ghising (50) of Lakhima in Dudhauli Municipality-10 along with a cache of 10 kg of Marijuana on Wednesday afternoon. The police acted on a special tip-off and conducted a raid at his residence, leading to the seizure of the illegal substance.
In a separate operation, Lamahi police arrested three persons, including Gaggani Dinisha, also known as Balika Sunar (28) of Shantinagar, Lamahi Municipality-4, Dang. On Wednesday night, the police found them in possession of a substance resembling brown sugar, weighing 560 mg, along with a sum of Rs 15,425 in cash.
Adding to the list of arrests, Kailali police arrested Rajesh Chaudhary (28) of Nawalpur in Bhajani Municipality-6. This arrest followed the discovery of 800 mg of substance resembling brown sugar from Jhabahi Ptharaiya bridge in Joshipur Rural Municipality-4 of Kailali on Wednesday afternoon.
Further investigation is ongoing in all cases, police said.
