BARA: Simara Veteran Club is organising the third International Veteran Football Tournament at the Simara Stadium from September 24.

A total of 12 teams including three international clubs - two from India and one from Bangladesh - will take part in the tournament, informed the organisers at a press meet on Saturday.

Clibhouse Veteran Football Club and Darjeeling Town Veteran FC from India, and Bangladesh Veteran FC will join teams from Pokhara, Kathmandu, Simara, Birgunj, Nawalparasi, Chitwan, Morang in the tournament which is being organised in memory of Manju Devi Gupta. Top two teams will earn Rs 200,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively, while the best player of the tournament will receive Rs 55,000, informed tournament coordinator Hari Chaudhary. Jagadamba Steel is the main sponsor of the tournament, while Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City is the co-sponsor.
