The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal is set to host the 15th edition of its premier automotive exhibition, 'TATA Motors Genuine Oil presents NADA Auto Show 2023', scheduled to take place from September 12 to 17 at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall.
NADA President Dhruba Thapa emphasised that despite the ongoing economic slowdown, a significant number of participants from various automotive segments have signed up for the exhibition, highlighting the need for appropriate commercial activities to stimulate the country's economy.
Due to the current economic downturn and the central bank's strict policies, the automobile industry has been severely impacted. As a result, thousands of vehicles are stuck in the customs office.
"Amidst this economic chaos, NADA is aims to inject vibrancy into the economy through the exhibition," he added.
Furthermore, considering the upcoming festive season, the exhibition promises automobile enthusiasts new brands, advanced technologies, financing options, business opportunities, and a deep understanding of the automobile sector's development in Nepal. The show aims to raise awareness that automobiles have evolved from a luxury to a necessity.
This edition of the exhibition will showcase 16 brands in the four-wheeler section, 22 brands in the two-wheeler section, and seven brands of light commercial vehicles. Additionally, the event will feature 30 companies exhibiting lubricants, tyres, batteries, garage equipment, and other auto components, along with the participation of nine financial institutions.
In total, 82 exhibitors, including importers, dealers, distributors, and manufacturers, will occupy approximately 120 small and large stalls. A common media desk will be available at the venue for the dissemination of information through magazines, newspapers, newsletters, and media personnel.
As always, road safety and traffic rules will be important areas of focus for mass information dissemination. To facilitate this, the exhibition will include a Traffic Information Desk at the venue in collaboration with the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.
For visitors' convenience, the show will be segmented into four-wheeler section, two-wheeler section, light commercial vehicles section, auto components section, and financial institutions section. To ease transportation, a shuttle bus service supported by Mahanagar Yatayat will run from public parking spaces such as Kathmandu Mall, Sainik Kalyankari Bhawan, and Bus Park View Tower to and from the Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall. Moreover, an online ticketing system through the Khalti app has been introduced to streamline entry and minimise rush at the entrance to enhance visitors' experience.
The NADA Auto Show 2023 is expected to attract around 75,000 visitors over the six-day event. As an added attraction, a lucky winner of the bumper door prize in entry tickets can win Yadea E8S Pro Electric Scooter sponsored by Kuzu Nepal Pvt Ltd.
