The founder principal of a private school thrashed a student for not submitting home assignment in Mirchaiya Municipality, Siraha, yesterday.

The student received injuries on his body parts and is receiving treatment in Mangalam Health Care Private Limited. A witness student said the principal beat Bishal with a plastic pipe. Bishal's father Umeshwor Mandal said Bishal was rushed to the nearby health facility after he came back from school. 'My son was in tearswhen he reached home and complained against the principal,' he added, Mandal further said that Bishal was absent due to illness for three to four days.

The kid's father Mandal said that he did not how it happened.

'I still do not know the reason behind the incident and why the head teacher thrashed my son indiscriminately.' he added.

A local Ashok Mandal said it was a crime. He said the guardians send the kids to school for education not for torture. Meanwhile, Principal Mahato said that he had thrashed the student for not submitting the assignment and for his notorious behaviour.

'I made a mistake as I should not have thrashed the student,' he regretted.
