KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22

Murrah buffaloes, received as assistance from India to Nepal, arrived today through the Jamunaha transit of Banke.

The Nepalese government had long been making efforts to bring this special breed of buffaloes, known for their high fertility rate, into the country.

During Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's last visit to India, it was announced that Nepal would receive Murrah breed buffaloes as assistance.

The Department of Animal Services has stated that the buffaloes will undergo the necessary quarantine process before being transferred to the National Animal Breeding Offices in Pokhara, Lahan, and Nepalgunj.
