Light rain, possible snowfall in Bagmati's hilly areas; foggy Tarai

Light rain is expected in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces on Monday, as per the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD). Additionally, the MFD predicts the possibility of light snowfall in a few locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of these provinces. There is also a likelihood of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The country is anticipated to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will have mainly fair weather. This weather pattern is expected to persist across the country into the night, with chances of light snowfall in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of other provinces.
Currently, the country is under the partial influence of the Western Wind. At 8:45 am today, the Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 5°C. Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature at -5.3°C, while Nepalgunj recorded the highest minimum temperature at 11.2°C.
The Terai region experienced morning fog, gradually expected to improve by the afternoon. Biratnagar, Simara, and Janakpur reported the densest fog, with Biratnagar and Simara having a visibility of 100 meters, while Janakpur had a visibility of 200 meters.
The MFD advises caution, as this weather condition may impact daily life, health, road, and air traffic.
