Govt commits to revive long-closed industries: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has announced that preparations are underway to revive industries that have remained closed for a long time.
Speaking at the 20th Establishment Day and National Council Meeting of Press Centre Nepal in Parsa of Birgunj today, the Prime Minister stated that efforts are being made to revive key industrial entities such as the Biratnagar Jute Mill, Hetauda Textile Factory, Gorakhkali Rubber Industry, and Butwal Spinning Mills Ltd.
'It has been decided to operate such industries under the private-public partnership model,' he said. The Prime Minister expressed the government's commitment to formulating the budget through collaborative efforts of political parties, with upcoming policies and programs designed to prioritize citizens' interests while promoting socialism and social justice.
Significant changes are anticipated through the upcoming budget, policies, and programs, and submissions from local and provincial governments will be sought during the formulation procedures, according to the Prime Minister.
He further added that the government has taken strong actions against land mafia and usury practices, and the decision to include labor forces from informal, self-employment, and foreign employments into the Social Security Fund are among the significant achievements of the incumbent government.
