Minister Tamang: Govt committed to meet citizens' aspirations for development

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Hit Bahadur Tamang, has pledged to fulfill citizens' development aspirations.
Addressing the fourth Dolalghat Mahotsav in Kavre on Thursday, Minister Tamang promised to coordinate among ministries for the tourist development of Dolalghat and the local community's aspirations.
He emphasized that the federal government stands in solidarity with local governments in their development endeavors and other initiatives.
Likewise, lawmaker Gokul Prasad Baskota expressed that the development of the Sunkoshi-III hydropower project is a shared dream of the people in Bhumlu and its surrounding areas, seeking support from all quarters. Baskota elaborated that upon completion by 2040, the project will create a lake five times larger than Fewa Lake, transforming Dolalghat into a unique tourist destination.
During the event, Chief of Kavre District Coordination Committee, Dipak Gautam, announced measures to control unregulated river mining in Kavre's rivers through a new policy introduced by the District Monitoring Committee.
The festival is scheduled to continue until April 15th.
