Gold, silver prices reach new heights in domestic market

The price of precious metals in the domestic market surged to new heights on Sunday.
Fine gold is now being traded at Rs 140,900 per tola, a rise of Rs 1,600 from Rs 139,300 per tola on Friday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The price had previously reached a record high of Rs 140,000 per tola on Thursday before dropping by Rs 700 per tola on Friday, rebounding strongly on the first trading day of the week.
Tejabi gold also saw an increase, currently trading at Rs 140,200 per tola compared to Rs 138,650 per tola on Friday.
Silver prices followed suit, reaching a new record at Rs 1,910 per tola.
This marks an increase of Rs 110 per tola from Rs 1,800 per tola on Friday.
The silver market has been experiencing continuous price increases in recent days, parallel to the surge in gold prices.
