Gold price hits new record, rising by Rs 1,700 per tola

The gold price surged to a new high on Tuesday, increasing by Rs 1,700 per tola in the domestic market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 142,700 per tola, up from Rs 141,000 per tola on Monday.
The precious metal had previously hit a record price of Rs 142,200 per tola on May 31. However, it had been declining since then. It had dropped by Rs 1,000 per tola on Monday. The rebound on Tuesday marks a new record high.
Similarly, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 142,000 per tola, compared to Rs 140,300 per tola on Monday.
Meanwhile, silver prices, which had been dropping in recent days, saw an increase on Tuesday. Silver rose by Rs 25 per tola, trading at Rs 1,860 per tola, up from Rs 1,835 per tola on Monday.
