TRIVENI, AUGUST 13

Transportation at Daunne in Nawalpur has been disrupted due to road subsidence that occurred last night. Only one-way traffic is currently allowed on the Daunne section of the East-West Highway to facilitate repairs on the caved-in road.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Paudel, the road will be partially operational until 1:00 PM today, with repairs expected to be completed by then. The road collapse occurred at Daunne in Binay Triveni Rural Municipality-2, and maintenance work is underway to prevent further damage.

DSP Paudel has urged vehicles using this section of the highway to adopt alternative routes until the completion of the maintenance work.
