KATHMANDU, AUGUST 26

President Ramchandra Paudel worshipped and performed Pooja at the Krishna Mandir in Patan Durbar Square today on the occasion of Shree Krishna Janmastami. During the visit, the President received Prasad from the temple priest.

Upon arrival at the Krishna Mandir, President Paudel was welcomed by federal MPs from Lalitpur, members of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, Lalitpur Chief District Officer Tulsi Bahadur Shrestha, Lalitpur Metropolitan City's Acting Chief Manjali Shakya Bajracharya, and other officials.

After offering prayers and receiving Prasad, the President also observed Mangahiti.

As per tradition, the head of state visits the Krishna temple each year on Shri Krishna Janmastami to offer prayers.

The festival, celebrated annually on Bhadra Krishna Ashtami, marks the birth of Lord Krishna. Today, devotees are gathering at the Krishna temple in Patan as well as other Krishna temples across the country.
