Two still missing after disappearing in Rapti River during fishing

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 8

Two people who went missing while fishing in the Rapti River near Jamunaghat, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-27, remain unaccounted for, according to Police Inspector Laxman KC from the District Police Office.

The two individuals, Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, 43, from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-25, and Shuk Bahadur Pariyar, 45, from Ward No. 27 of Bharatpur, went fishing on Friday and have been missing since.

Search efforts involving deep divers from the Nepali Army, armed police forces, and local volunteers have been ongoing but have yet to yield any results.

The search continues today as authorities work to locate the missing fishermen.
