KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 6

Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck arrived in Kathmandu this morning for an unofficial visit. The King's visit to Nepal follows his recent trip to India.

The Bhutanese monarch was welcomed by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

As part of his brief visit, King Jigme Khesar is scheduled to tour Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath later today.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, King Jigme Khesar will return to Bhutan today itself.
