Four people killed, six injured while returning home from Mahakumbha Mela

SAPTARI, FEBRUARY 22

Four people were killed while six others injured in a road accident while returning home from Prayagraj Kumbhamela of Uttar Pradesh of India. The accident took place at Gorakhpur Link Road of Uttar Pradesh, India last night.

The deceased have been identified as Pharshiram Chaudhary (65), Lilavati Chaudhary, (64), Hariharbati Yadav (55) of Kanchanrup Municipality of Saptari district and Samtoliyadevi Yadav of Kushahawa Rural Municipality of Sunsari district, said Samananda Chaudhary, ward chair of Kanchanrup Municiplaity Ward No-7.

Similarly other injured in the incident are Upendra Narayan Yadav, Laludevi Yadav, Jitu Yadav, Mukesh Yadav, Upendra's relative and the vehicle driver.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Gorakhpur Hospital. According to ward chair Chaudhary, ambulances were sent to Gorakhpur to bring the dead bodies back home.
