DAVOS: More than a month since the U.N. climate change talks in Denmark ended without definitive agreement, protecting the environment is the top issue at the World Economic Forum.

Climate change and the question of what steps world governments, big businesses and activists can take — working together — is a key topic Friday at the forum's annual meeting. Mexican President Felipe Calderon is laying out his ideas along with Renault-Nissan head Carlos Ghosn and Yvo de Boer, head of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change.

A key part of the debate is how, exactly, progress can be made that is not just environmentally effective but also won't break the bank.
