TULSIPUR, JUNE 1

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed regular flight operations from Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur-12, operating five days a week based on passenger demand.

According to NAC Tulsipur section chief Bal Bahadur Sunar, flights are available every day except Wednesday and Saturday. Previously, the lack of regular service forced passengers to travel to Nepalgunj or Bhairahawa.

Due to its short 750-meter runway, only 19-seater aircraft can currently land at the airport. Stakeholders have repeatedly called for runway extension.

Built in 2011 BS, Tarigaun Airport continues to face limitations in handling larger aircraft.
