KATHMANDU, JUNE 9

The Karnali Province Assembly on Sunday passed the policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2082/83 by majority vote.

Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel presented the proposal during the assembly meeting. Following its presentation, Speaker Nanda Gurung announced the passage based on a majority voice vote.

While lawmakers from the main opposition, CPN (Maoist Centre), opposed the proposal, members of the ruling coalition voted in its favour.

The next assembly meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Monday.
