Pokhara unveils Rs 8.35 billion budget for FY 2082/83

KATHMANDU, JUNE 23

The Pokhara Metropolitan City has announced a budget of Rs 8.35 billion for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

Presenting the budget at the 17th municipal assembly on Sunday, Deputy Mayor Manju Devi Gurung stated that the city expects to raise Rs 5.22 billion in internal revenue.

Additional income projections include Rs 3.13 billion from federal conditional grants, Rs 528.7 million from federal equalization grants, Rs 330.08 million from federal revenue sharing, Rs 32.8 million from provincial revenue sharing, and Rs 815,000 from provincial equalization grants.

The budget prioritizes green, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure development, tourism promotion, environmental protection, waste management, inclusive and equitable growth, institutional strengthening, good governance, and quality service delivery.
