KATHMANDU, JUNE 27

The results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2081 have been officially published.

A meeting of the National Examination Board (NEB) on Friday evening endorsed the publication of the results.

Out of 438,896 students who appeared in the regular examination, 48,177 students secured a Grade Point Average (GPA) between 3.6 and 4.0, according to the Board.

Similarly, 81,385 students obtained a GPA between 3.2 and 3.6, while 89,124 students scored between 2.8 and 3.2 GPA.

In addition, 48,479 students achieved a GPA between 2.4 and 2.8, as shared by Board Chairperson Mahashram Sharma during a press briefing.

A total of 4,126 examinees secured a GPA between 2.0 and 2.4, whereas only 8 students scored between 1.6 and 2.0 GPA. Examinations of 126 students were cancelled.

According to Sharma, 61.81 percent of the students were graded this year-a nearly 14 percent increase compared to last year, when only 48 percent had received grades.

Students from 11,216 public and private schools participated in the SEE this year. Of the total examinees, 257,730 were girls, 256,311 were boys, and 30 students were from the other category.

As per the letter grading system, students must secure at least 35 percent marks in theoretical examinations to qualify for admission to Grade 11. Those who fail to meet this requirement are placed in the non-graded category and are not eligible to pursue higher secondary education.

The SEE was held at 2,080 examination centres nationwide, including special centres inside prisons in Kathmandu and Dailekh, and a juvenile correction home in Bhaktapur. Additionally, a centre was set up at a Nepali school in Japan to accommodate students residing there.

The SEE examinations were held earlier this year, from March 20 to April 1.

Students can view their results by visiting the official website of the National Examination Board at https://neb.gov.np. Alternatively, they can dial 1600 from a landline or mobile phone and follow the instructions to enter their symbol number to access the results.
