Nepal Crushes Laos 9–0 in AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers

Nepal registered a resounding 9–0 victory over Laos in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers (Group F) at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Uzbekistan on Sunday.
Team captain Sabitra Bhandari 'Samba' led the charge with four goals, while Anita Basnet, Saru Limbu, Anita KC, and Rashmi Kumari Ghising each added a goal to the tally. Additionally, an own goal by Laos defender Saysamone Inthaphone two minutes before full time further widened Nepal's lead, according to the AFC.
Nepal went into halftime with a 2–0 advantage and extended their dominance early in the second half, with Saru Limbu scoring just two minutes after the restart.
With this emphatic win, Nepal secured three points in Group F. This match also marked Nepal's 100th international fixture in women's football.
Nepal is competing in Group F alongside Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, and Laos.
