Continuous rainfall since last night has led to waterlogging in various parts of Dhangadhi, including the main market area.

Bishalnagar, Milanchowk, Shivanagar, Hasanpur, Campus Road, Malikatol, Krishnanagar, and surrounding neighborhoods have been severely affected. Most shops in the area are submerged, and residents are struggling with mobility issues.

Locals blamed the annual inundation on unplanned urbanization and encroachment of rivulets. Locals have pointed to the blacktopping of roads without proper sewerage systems as a key reason for the recurring floods.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, despite the extensive waterlogging, no human casualties have been reported.
