KATHMANDU, JULY 11

The Lamjung District Administration Office has imposed a nighttime vehicle movement restriction along the landslide-prone Dumre–Besisahar–Chame road section to minimize risks during the ongoing monsoon season.

As per the decision made by the Lamjung District Security Committee on July 8, all vehicle movement-except for essential services-is prohibited between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM from Besisahar to the Manang district border.

The restriction came into effect from July 9 (Ashar 25) and will remain in force until the end of Shrawan (mid-August 2025). Authorities stated that this measure aims to prevent potential loss of life and property due to increased landslide risks in the area during monsoon.

The District Administration has requested the public's cooperation and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
