KATHMANDU, AUGUST 3

YouTube stars MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) and Mark Rober have joined forces with international nonprofit WaterAid to launch #TeamWater, a global campaign dedicated to providing clean water to 2 million people worldwide. The initiative, powered by content creators from over 84 countries with a combined reach of 2 billion subscribers, seeks to raise $40 million by August 31.

#TeamWater will support sustainable water solutions such as solar-powered wells and gravity-fed pipelines, delivering long-term clean water access for communities in need - from Colombia's deserts to Bangladesh's mangrove forests.

'We've seen the power of the internet when it rallies behind a cause, from planting millions of trees to removing millions of pounds of trash from the ocean,' said Donaldson and Rober in a joint statement. 'Now, we're taking on clean water, because no one should have to live without it.'

The campaign builds on the duo's earlier large-scale efforts, #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas, which collectively raised over $50 million to plant 20 million trees and remove 30 million pounds of trash from oceans and rivers worldwide.

Kelly Parsons, CEO of WaterAid America, said, 'We're pairing the influence of the world's most powerful creators with WaterAid's decades of expertise to tackle one of the most solvable challenges: the global water crisis. Every dollar raised will fund sustainable clean water solutions, benefiting millions for generations to come.'

Donations can be made via teamwater.org, with every contribution going directly to fund global clean water projects. The official #TeamWater launch video is available on MrBeast and Mark Rober's YouTube channels.

WaterAid is the proud global international partner of this campaign. The content creators also visited Nepal in July and helped build water systems to provide safely managed water for 71 households with over 300++ communities in Thulo Padhero, Jaubari, and Gaubari of Godawari municipality, according to the WaterAid, global international partner of this campaign.
