First-of-its-kind partnership promotes safer roads and responsible drinking culture
KATHMANDU, JULY 23
Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with ride-hailing platform Pathao to launch the "Drink Responsibly" campaign, to promote responsible alcohol consumption and safer mobility.
The campaign is part of Gorkha Brewery's broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals under its Together Towards ZERO and Beyond initiative, which aims to achieve zero irresponsible drinking.
Through this collaboration, the campaign encourages individuals-particularly those attending social events and nightlife venues-to use ride-sharing services like Pathao instead of driving under the influence.
"This campaign is more than just a message - it's a step toward building awareness and shifting mindsets," said Rojan Amatya, Marketing Director at Gorkha Brewery. "It reflects our strong commitment to social responsibility and the power of local partnerships to create real impact."
The initial phase of the campaign will be rolled out in the Kathmandu Valley, focusing on key nightlife and entertainment zones. It will use data-driven communication tools to reach high-traffic areas and promote responsible behavior.
This marks the first collaboration between a brewery and a ride-hailing platform in Nepal, setting a new benchmark for industry partnerships aimed at public safety and behavioral change.
