Birgunj Customs collects Rs 18.39 billion in first month of FY 2082/83
Revenue meets 87.68% of monthly target after office merger with Dry Port Customs

The Birgunj Customs Office collected Rs 18.39 billion in revenue during the first month of the current fiscal year 2082/83 (2025/26), achieving 87.68 percent of its monthly target.
The office, which merged with the Dry Port Customs Office from Saun 1 (July 17) to provide integrated services, had set a revenue target of Rs 20.98 billion for the period.
Customs Chief Administrator Deepak Lamichhane said the amount marks an increase from Rs 15.92 billion collected in the same month last fiscal year.
The Department of Customs has set an annual revenue target of Rs 273.39 billion for Birgunj in the current fiscal year.
