Vietnam's Vice President meets Vice President Yadav

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 24
A delegation led by Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with Nepal's Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav during her ongoing three-day official visit to Nepal.
Vice President Xuan arrived on Saturday at the cordial invitation of Vice President Yadav. During their meeting today, the two leaders discussed religious and cultural affinities as well as the vast potential for religious and cultural tourism in both countries.
According to Prakash Adhikari, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they also exchanged views on issues of bilateral, regional, and international concern.
The discussions underscored that Nepal and Vietnam share a bilateral relationship founded on friendship, goodwill, and mutual respect for sovereignty, while advancing a shared vision in international forums.
On the occasion, both sides reached an understanding to facilitate exchanges between ministries and visits at various levels. Vice President Xuan noted that Nepal could draw lessons from Vietnam's impressive economic growth and explore opportunities for investment.
The talks also covered areas such as bilateral trade, investment, digital technology, and enhancing people-to-people ties.
This marks the highest-level visit from Vietnam to Nepal to date and coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
