KATHMANDU, AUGUST 26

Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, returned home late Sunday after completing a three-day official visit to Nepal.

Invited by Nepali Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Xuan paid a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Paudel and held delegation-level talks with Vice President Yadav. She also met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba during her stay.

The visit marks the highest-level engagement from Vietnam to Nepal and coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey and Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai saw off Vice President Xuan at Tribhuvan International Airport's VVIP lounge.
