KATHMANDU, AUGUST 24

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Karnali Provinces today.

Moderate rainfall is also expected at several locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, including the hilly regions nationwide, and at a few locations in the Tarai region, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The weather is forecast to remain generally cloudy across the country throughout the day. In addition, gusty winds are likely in Madhesh Province as well as in the Tarai regions of Koshi and Lumbini Provinces.

Later tonight, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy over Koshi and Madhesh Provinces and across the hilly regions, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere.

Moderate rainfall is likely at a few locations in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as across the remaining hilly areas, and at one or two locations in the Tarai. Heavy rainfall is also possible at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.

According to the Division's meteorological analysis, the monsoon low-pressure line is currently positioned near its normal location, with the influence of moisture-laden air originating from the Bay of Bengal.
