Vietnamese Vice President Xuan visits Patan Durbar Square and Boudhanath Stupa

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 25
Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, who is currently on an official visit to Nepal, visited Patan Durbar Square and the Boudhanath Stupa-both UNESCO World Heritage Sites-today.
In Patan, the Vice President was received by government officials, including Lalitpur Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan, and toured various heritage landmarks, traditional handicrafts, and sculptures.
Earlier in the day, Vice President Vo also visited the Boudhanath Stupa, a sacred site for Buddhists, where she was welcomed by Boudhanath Area Development Committee Chair Rajkumar Lama and Executive Director Mohan Kumar Tamang.
Vice President Vo arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday for a three-day official visit and is scheduled to depart later tonight upon the conclusion of her engagements.
