Moderate rainfall likely in Koshi, Sudurpaschim provinces

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 26

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that the monsoon low-pressure trough is currently situated south of its normal position in the eastern region, while remaining near its usual position in the west.

According to the Division, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy over the hilly regions of the country today, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as at one or two locations across the Tarai belt.

Later tonight, the hilly regions are forecast to remain mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

There is also a possibility of moderate rainfall at several locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in other hilly areas.
