NEPSE soars by 53 points, market closes at 2,819
All sectors end in green; turnover hits Rs 7.68 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) surged by 53.01 points, or 1.91%, on Wednesday, closing at 2,819.10 points by the end of trading.
Alongside the benchmark index, the Sensitive Index measuring class 'A' stocks gained 1.79%, while the Float Index that tracks actively traded shares rose 1.88%.
All sectoral indices ended in positive territory, with the Development Bank sector leading the rally with a 3.40% gain. This was followed by Manufacturing & Processing (2.69%), Trading (2.68%), Life Insurance (2.21%), Investment (2.19%), and Others (2.14%).
The day's turnover stood at Rs 7.68 billion from the exchange of 14,986,142 units of shares of 321 companies across 72,528 transactions. A total of 232 stocks advanced, while 19 declined. Bikash Hydropower Company Limited (BHCL) was the only company to hit the 10% upper circuit limit.
By market close, total capitalization had reached Rs 4.710 trillion.
