Gen Z Protest casualties climb to 34 nationwide
Health Ministry reports over 1,300 injured; most treated and discharged

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 11
The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 34 people have died and 1,368 have been injured in hospitals across Nepal following the recent Gen Z demonstrations.
Ministry spokesperson Dr Prakash Budhathoki said most of the injured have already been released after treatment, with 949 individuals discharged so far.
Hospital-wise fatalities include:
National Trauma Centre: 8
Civil Service Hospital: 6
Bheri Hospital: 5
Frontline Hospital: 3
Everest Hospital: 3
BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences: 2
Kathmandu Medical College: 2
Bayodha Hospital: 2
Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital: 1
B & C Hospital, Birtamode: 1
Birta City Hospital: 1
Among the injured still under care are 58 at the Trauma Centre, 48 at Civil Service Hospital, 35 at Kathmandu Medical College, 25 at TUTH, and 26 at Birendra Military Hospital.
Authorities continue to monitor hospitals and coordinate with security agencies as protests persist in several regions.
