KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 12

A relative mourns the death of her sister's son, 24-year-old Yogendra Neupane, who was killed during the protests in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Friday, September 12, 2025, the fifth day of an army-imposed curfew.

The Gen Z protests, fueled by anger over corruption, the social media ban, and the killing of 30 youths, forced Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli to resign.

The country remains under army control amid escalating unrest.
