KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 21

Gold price in Nepal climbed Rs 1,100 per tola on Sunday, matching the historic peak set on Bhadra 31, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.

Fine gold is now traded at Rs 217,100 per tola, up from Rs 216,000 on Friday.

Silver followed the upward trend, gaining Rs 40 per tola to Rs 2,620, compared to Rs 2,580 on Friday. This a new record for the silver price in the Nepali Market.

Traders attribute the surge to strong international demand and market volatility ahead of the festive season.
