KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 24
Gold prices continued their historic rally on Wednesday, rising by an additional Rs 1,300 per tola to reach a new all-time high of Rs 223,000 per tola in Nepal's domestic market, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The previous day, fine gold was traded at Rs 221,700 per tola, already near record levels. The sustained surge is being attributed to strong international demand and investors seeking safe-haven assets.
Silver prices also maintained their upward trend, gaining Rs 20 per tola. The precious metal is now being traded at Rs 2,700 per tola, up from Rs 2,680 on Tuesday, the federation reported.
